Tribute to Brenda Robinson CMCS regrets to inform our membership that Brenda Robinson, an engaged former CMCS board member has passed away. Thank-you to Gini Clark for this kind tribute, Brenda Robinson, a long-time supporter and past Executive Board Member of CMCS, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, in Calgary, AB, after a courageous fight with cancer. Brenda was born in Calgary and attended Queen Elizabeth High School and because of her strong commitment to work with people and especially children, she went on to earn a degree in Social Work. After several years of work, raising her children, and a 30 year involvement in Scouting, Brenda pursued yet another career as a mediator, trainer, and coach. In 2008 she began her new relationship with her loving partner, and husband, Gary Selby. Brenda and Gary taught classes for CMCS, worked as volunteer mediators and teachers and often attended CMCS special events and activities over several years. Many of the present members and mediators with CMCS were privileged to have Brenda as their mentor and teacher throughout the years. Brenda will be fondly remembered for her deep love for family and friends, determined spirit, and great sense of fun and humour.
