We welcome volunteers with any type of experience—no training/certification is needed. While many of our volunteers are qualified service providers, we just ask for a willingness to share your time and talents with CMCS and the community. Volunteers do not have to be CMCS members, but are welcome to do so. Please contact us to find out about our volunteer opportunities.

Interested in actively shaping the future of CMCS? Society members have unique opportunities and roles within the organization and Calgary communities. You do not have to have mediation experience to be a member; however, mediators must be CMCS members in order to be on our mediation roster. Volunteers do not have to be CMCS members, but are welcome to do so.

attending CMCS social events; and
accessing educational opportunities through member meetings, workshops, and seminars.
Society membership is a nominal fee of $50/year. Please contact us for membership information.

We warmly welcome anyone who is interested in managing conflict and resolving disputes You must be a member and meet minimum roster qualifications in order to deliver our mediation services. Membership benefits include
accessing CMCS mediation, conflict assistance meeting, community engagement and worship rosters;
assisting in managing conflict within Calgary communities;
accessing training and professional development opportunities through member meetings, workshops, and seminars;
gaining practical experience in resolving disputes (great for students and people new to the field); and
networking within the Alternative Dispute Resolution community.
