CMCS was formed in 1993 with the vision of building peaceful communities. We provide mediators with an opportunity to gain peer-evaluated practical experience, while providing community mediation as a positive alternative to resolving community disputes. 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and focused Volunteer Coordinator to be responsible for board development and project-based skills recruiting. The Volunteer Coordinator's responsibilities include recruiting new volunteers, matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills, keeping volunteers informed, and conveying the organization's purpose to the public. 

A successful Volunteer Coordinator should be meticulous about keeping records and passionate about Building Peaceful Communities. You should uphold the values of our organization while ensuring the success of our volunteers in their positions. 

Board Member Responsibilities: 

· Leverage various marketing tools such as outreach programs, e-mails, and volunteer databases to recruit new non-mediator volunteers to CMCS 

· Keeping new and existing volunteers informed about the organization and volunteer opportunities. 

· Matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training and support. 

· Act as an ambassador for CMCS 

Board Member Requirements: 

· Skills in Business Management, Human Resources or a related field would be an asset. 

· Experience in volunteering and recruitment would be helpful. 

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

· Excellent organization and team building skills.
